Graphic Design

Hi Everyone!

So after my little (well, maybe large) shopping spree on Saturday, I wanted to show you how I styled up one of the pieces. I chose this gorgeous camel, white and black graphic jumper from Forever 21 (link is in my previous post). It’s so super soft and snuggly for this time of year but I think the colour range and the pattern keep it modern and stylish so you’re not losing the fashion in the comfort! The only issue with sitting down all day is that you do lose some of the pattern on the front as the jumpers quite long, but I didn’t feel this really mattered as the detail on the sleeves is so visible. I also am wearing the small here, I’m usually a large in Forever 21 items, so you can see just how oversized this is! I decided to style it with this necklace from New Look which keeps the graphic theme going.

Because I’m in a wheelchair, I find it a lot easier wearing leggings than jeans/ fitted trousers, so I love these leather look leggings from Matalan as they’re really stretchy and easy to get on, but really give outfits a more polished look.

I finished the outfit by accessorising with my trusty black Primark boots, big cream 70s style glasses from River Island and a fluffy cream scarf from Primark to tie everything together.

Do you like this look? What have been your favourite October purchases so far?

Much Love,

Shiny, Pretty Things!

Hi Everyone!

I am a complete jewellery addict and there’s nothing I love more than using something shiny to completely update an old piece of clothing and bring it into this seasons trend! I have linked a few pieces below that I like at the moment. Topshop particularly have a gorgeous selection of unique and interesting jewellery for Autumn/Winter 2015.

Please let me know what you think in the comments and if you end up buying any of the pieces!

Much Love,

Christmas Candles in Autumn..!

When I was younger, I used to take the mick out of my mum for having hundreds of candles around the house.. now I am just as bad, if not worse! I have a serious addiction and when I recently went to Homesense in Northampton and they had their range of Christmas candles out, I just couldn’t resist! I have also picked up a couple from other shops too, so if you’re a fan of candles, particularly Christmas ones like me, then keep reading and keep your eyes pealed in the shops!

Copenhagen Candle Company – ‘Christmas Tree’

As you may imagine, this smells a lot like a Christmas Tree! I’m really not a fan of candles that have a spice to them so this is a lovely subtle pine scent which reminds me of walks in the forest and Center Parcs!

Chesapeake Bay Candle - 'Christmas Carol'
Chesapeake Bay Candle – ‘Christmas Carol’

I’m not entirely sure why this one is called ‘Christmas Carol’, it’s probably because it’s Christmas related! But it’s not one for those of you who aren’t a fan of sweet scents as it’s a gorgeous vanilla smell, with a bit of cookie dough thrown in for good measure! It’ll be great if you like your house to smell of baking!!

'Warm Fuzzy Blanket'
‘Warm Fuzzy Blanket’

Don’t you just love this name?! It’s so perfect for a wintery candle as all I want to be doing in winter is to be snuggled up in a blanket all cosy watching Christmas films! I’m not sure what make this is but I got it from Homesense; again, it’s another vanillery smelling candle but also reminds me of the smell when your clothes are freshly washed!

Primark - 'Falling Star'
Primark – ‘Falling Star’

I’m obsessed with this packaging! It looks so pretty and I can’t wait to keep the jar and use it for storing things, maybe make up brushes, once the candle has burnt out! The scent is really hard to describe, it’s lovely and I think it’s mostly scented with a winter berry smell which is one of my favourites.

Ikea - 'Vinter 2015'
Ikea – ‘Vinter 2015’

This is my least favourite looking out of the bunch as the packaging is quite plain, but oh my, it smells so gorgeous! It’s a mixture of all different winter berries and rather than being overly sickly sweet, it’s sweet but in a berry pudding kind of a way!

So I hope this has inspired you guys to go out and have a look for some lovely candles for winter, they’re so perfect for in the evenings as they make the house so cosy and warm, especially when it’s freezing outside! Also, I apologise for my descriptions of the smells…!! You definitely have to try (smell) them for yourself!

Primark Head to Toe!

Hi Everyone!

Being in a wheelchair means dressing for Autumn/ Winter is a bit more of a faf than usual as it involves lots of layering, boots and coats which can be super difficult to get on and off, so that’s why I love these jumpers from Primark at the moment! I literally have them in about 5 different colours because they’re so comfy and cosy! This one is a gorgeous teal colour, which was fun to wear, as it’s still a pop of colour coming up to the colder months.

I like to wear simple, comfy black leggings as a style staple and they’re good for ease when you’re disabled!! I also struggle a lot with boots because I have bad circulation and my feet get swollen, so when I found these gorgeous wide-fit biker style boots in Primark which fit perfectly, I was super happy! They also have faux fur on the inside so they’re really warm!

I recently purchased a few accessories from Primark including the necklace and handbag, which I thought complemented the outfit well, but also this super soft, big tartan scarf! It was such a reasonable price for the amount and quality of material and it added another dimension of colour to tie in with the handbag. I have been naughty and snuck in a non-Primark piece and that is the sunglasses that are Converse, but I just love them at the moment because of the colour and shape, which is so flattering!

It was such a sunny day when I photographed this outfit, so I apologise that the sun takes away from the outfit slightly. It did mean that it was really warm outside though and I had to make the most of it, as that might be the last bit of warmth we have in the UK before winter now!!

Primark are seriously on point with their Autumn clothing at the moment and I can’t wait to show you more outfits in the future as I’m sure I’ll be visiting Primark on a regular basis as per usual! What things from Primark have you been buying? Any recommendations for me?

Much love,

First Impressions – Makeup Routine

  • So first of all I start off by using Makeup Revolution Pro Fixing Spray on my face which I have prepped with moisturiser.
  • I then applied Bourjois Gel Foundation in the shade 52 all over my face and applied Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in the shade 1 (fair) where needed. Luckily I don’t suffer too much with acne so I use it mostly to brighten my skin.
  • I use a Makeup Revolution Ultra Brow Arch and shape pencil on my eyebrows and they really need plucking..!! Ooops!
  • I then used H&M High Impact Eye Colour in Pop the Question all over my eyelids, it was very glittery, much more than I thought it would be due to the colour and it wasn’t very pigmented which was a shame but it was nice for a light base cover which brightened my eyes. I then added H&M High Impact Eye Colour in Gala Gown to highlight my brow bone and inner corner of eyes as it’s a lovely gold tone and again quite glittery so works really well to highlight certain areas of my eyes.
  • To accentuate my eyes and give them more definition I used a brown shade of my Makeup Revolution Iconic 3 palette in my crease and also underneath my eyes.
  • To complete my eye makeup, I then used a Helen É black kohl liner and my Maybelline Waterproof Lash Sensational Mascara which is incredible! I don’t even need to curl my lashes when I use it so I highly recommend you try it if you haven’t already!
  • I love to use my Sleek Contour Palette in Light on my cheeks and in a heart shape around my face to contour. The highlight gives a really lovely shimmer for daytime.
  • The H&M Pure Radiance Powder Blusher in Sunrise Pink on the apples of my cheeks was lovely, it’s really pigmented and gives such a healthy glow.
  • To finish off my H&M daytime look, I used H&M Lipstick in shade Kombucha which is a gorgeous pinky nude and again super pigmented and moisturising.

Overall the new H&M makeup is beautifully packaged (so instagram-worthy!!) and is of a really high quality. I have to say my favourite so far is the Lipstick, but I still have a couple of items still to use and test out! If you’re looking for some new makeup, I’d really recommend trying the H&M range.
