Here are a few things I’m wanting this month!
Is there anything you have your eye on to buy this month?
I cannot believe it’s November already! Autumn is almost over but I thought I’d show you my favourite make up look of the season. I’m obsessed with the colours of the leaves and this is reflected in the make up I have chosen; you can’t beat brown smokey eyes and berry lips!
To start off with, I used my Next illuminating primer which gives a really lovely glow and I then put on my Bourjois foundation which is a gel formula, so it’s perfect for my dry skin. I use a buffer brush in circular motions to apply this.
I think my eyes are one of my favourite things to make a feature of because I love my eyelashes! But because this make up look has a bold lip, I wanted to do a toned down smoky brown eye for a hint of colour and warmth. I used my Tanya Burr palette as a base, built up the colour with the MAC pressed eyeshadow and then finished off with a sprinkle of Barry M’s glitter on the top. I didn’t want to go over the top with eyeliner so I just curled and coated my lashes with Maybelline Lash Sensational which is so good! I have been using a Makeup Revolution pencil on my eyebrows lately (as this is the only brow product I currently have), including in this look and I’ve realised I much prefer using powder with a brush for a more definitive brow and it makes life much easier! So I’ll have to purchase a new brow palette!
For a quick and simple way of contouring, I used this Sleek palette and a Real Techniques brush for bronzing and highlight. The bronzer is a matte natural brown shade and the highlight really blends into the skin well whilst giving a pretty shimmer to show off my non-existing cheekbones! I then added my H&M blush as mentioned in one of my previous post’s, which gives a lovely healthy glow.
I used 2 products on my lips, the first is a creamy, moisturising lipstick pencil from H&M which gives a good base and I topped this off with a Tanya Burr lipgloss. This is really pigmented but has a lovely gloss to it which I love for this time of year as most berry lipsticks tend to be very matte and drying on the lips.
