Christmas Make Up and Outfit Lookbook

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Hi Everyone!

Choosing my Christmas outfits and make up is always fun; obviously I had to wear my favourite Christmas jumper from New Look (which is now in the sale!) and I decided to go for a dewey makeup look, keeping it quite simple and natural.

Tanya Burr Beauty Advent Calendar

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Hi Everyone,

I have just finished opening my Tanya Burr beauty advent calendar and so I thought I’d show you all the amazing products that were in it! I opened a new window every other day from 1st December and there are so many lovely products in it, from lipglosses to eyeshadows and false eyelashes. I paid £16 for it from Feel Unique, so it was such incredible value for money! If you didn’t get one this year, I definitely recommend getting one next year, or any other beauty calendar to be honest! It’s so lovely getting new products/presents almost every day in December!

Products Included-

  • 2 Nail Varnish – Under The Sea and Carnival Night – Both are super pretty glittery shades which are perfect for this time of year!
  • 2 Eyeshadow Pots – Creme Brulee and Starry Night – These are not hugely pigmented, but they’re lovely to add a bit of sparkle to either a black or brown smokey eye look.
  • 3 Lip glosses – (From Top) Bewitching, Candy Frost and Macaroon – I love Tanya’s lip glosses from her range anyway and these limited edition shades are so so lovely! They smell / taste like sweets and they are also mini ones which means they are awesome handbag size!
  • 2 Nail Files
  • 1 Mirror
  • 2 Sets of Eyelashes – There’s a more subtle set which I’m yet to try, but I think they will be gorgeous for everyday and the other pair are super glamourous for an evening make up look!

Hi Everyone,

This is an easy Wintery outfit for everyday this season, but with a colourful twist! The base of the outfit is quite simple; this H&M jumper is so gorgeous, the embellishment around the neck means you don’t have to accessorise with a necklace and it was so super cheap for how expensive it looks! I also teamed this with my New Look leggings and trusty Primark black ankle boots.

To add some colour to make the outfit pop, I chose this purple Topshop fluffy handbag. I love the colour and the fur is so appropriate for this time of year! This is an old handbag, but Topshop have some other amazing fluffy handbags in this season, so I’ll link them below!

Hi Everyone!

So I’ve recently attended a friends wedding and because it was in December, it was so lovely and festive and a perfect excuse to bring out the sequins!

I think this dress from Forever 21 is great for this time of year especially because of the glitz which I love! Can never have too much sparkle in my book! But even if you’re not such a fan of the sequins, this would still work as the mesh layer over the top dulls them down a bit and leaves such a pretty hint of sparkle, without being too over the top. As in most of my posh dresses, due to the layering and the tight skirt section, I had to cut up part of the back so it would sit long enough (under my bum), otherwise there would’ve been too much flashing!! Dresses are never designed for people sitting for long periods of time, so adaptions have to be made but it meant that it sat perfectly and was comfortable for the whole evening.

I found this gorgeous bag in Primark for only £6.00!! I felt it really complimented the tones in my cardigan and dress but stood out at the same time. It was also pretty spacious and had plenty of room for my phone, lipstick, purse etc. The gold chain tied in with the gold belt, ring and necklace I chose just to add a little bit more glamour!

I’ve seen some really lovely Christmas / wintery dresses and accessories in shops at the moment; Forever 21, Topshop and H&M have to be my favourite. So if you’re looking for something for this season and any parties or weddings you might have, then I’d definitely take a look there!

Winter Makeup Look Daytime to Evening

Hi Everyone!

I always change my make up looks whenever the seasons change, basically because it’s good fun and because I love trying new and different things! Here I have shown how you can take a daytime wintery look and transform it into a dramatic evening one in a simple way, as there are so many Christmas parties this season and the easier and quicker it is to get ready, the better!

Daytime

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

  • So first of all I start off by using Makeup Revolution Pro Fixing Spray on my face which I have prepped with moisturiser.
  • I also added on my cheeks and forehead Next Face Illuminator as it really makes my skin glow!
  • I then applied Bourjois Gel Foundation in the shade 52 all over my face and applied Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in the shade 1 (fair) where needed.
  • I used Maybelline Master Brow Kit on my eyebrows.
  • For my eyes, I used the gorgeous MUA Rhapsody Eyeshadow Palette and then added a touch of my Poundland Smoke Screen Eyeshadow in the crease and under my eyes. Obviously this eyeshadow is so ridiculously cheap but it’s really good quality!
  • To complete my eye makeup, I then used the Maybelline Waterproof Lash Sensational Mascara which is incredible! I don’t even need to curl my lashes when I use it, so I highly recommend you try it if you haven’t already!
  • I used the I Heart Makeup Triple Baked Blusher in a heart shape around my face to contour and the pink shade of my Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette on the tops of my cheeks, down the centre of my nose and on my brow bone. The highlight gives a really lovely shimmer for daytime and evening.
  • To finish off my daytime look, I used my Next chubby lip stick in soft rose, this is a pretty pink shade which is so moisturising and pigmented. And then to add a little bit of sparkle, some Stila Lipgloss in Moonstone.

Evening

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

To amp up my daytime look to take it through to the evening it only takes 3 easy steps!

  • Firstly I added some sparkle to my eyes by using my Chanel Illusion D’Ombre Eyeshadow in Fantasme
  • And then to really define them I lined my eyes and waterline with Soap and Glory Smoulder Kohl in Super Black. I really suffer with watery eyes and this eye liner doesn’t smudge one bit!
  • Finally all I did was change my lipstick to this MaxFactor Colour Elixir Lipstick in Bewitching Coral. I think this has a bit more of an impact for the evening and these have to be some of my favourite lipsticks ever, they are so easy to apply, they’re super pigmented and not drying at all which is so important when you get dry lips like me!

So that’s it! It’s so easy to transition from daytime to evening and I hope it’s inspired you to try it next time you go to a Winter party!

Much Love,

Hi Everyone!

In Autumn/ Wintertime, I love playing with different textures and colours in my outfits and I LOVE this cape from New Look with its fur collar. Being in a wheelchair can make putting on jackets and coats really difficult and I normally have to buy up a couple of sizes so I feel comfortable. So when I saw this cape I knew I had to buy it! Its not super thick on it’s own, so like I have shown here, I would layer it over a thick wooly jumper for extra warmth, the colour of this H&M one is sooo nice! Along with these really lovely thick leggings also from New Look. They’re a gorgeous grey colour and make such a change from black! But they still have a lot of stretch and so are easy to get on and off.

I think sometimes accessories can make an outfit and with the classy feeling of the cape I wanted to bring this through by teaming my look with the floppy black hat, super sparkly necklace and smart/ casual brown long boots.
