Kiko Haul & First Impressions

Hi Everyone,

You know how much I love Kiko, so whenever I get the opportunity to go to one of the few shops in the UK, I make the most of it! I thought I would give you the low down on what I got and what I thought of it.

I picked up this gold eyeshadow from The Artist collection; I already own the green one which I really enjoyed using and featured in my Chanel inspired Spring make up look. This colour has a lovely pearlescent sheen, it creates a great base to build on or for a simple but pretty make up look, I wear it on it’s own with lots of black mascara.

I had wanted this liquid highlight pen for ages but they were always sold out, so luckily they had a couple of the shade Virtuous Gold when I last went in. I originally wanted the Dynamic Coral shade but that wasn’t available. The colour of this one is really flattering and I think it’ll look even better on sun-kissed skin in the summer as it will really compliment lots of bronzer and a sun tan!

I still wear it at the minute though, it’s not hugely pigmented which works for a day to day basis and I usually add powder highlight over the top for an evening look and having this underneath means my highlight doesn’t budge all night!

Finally, I picked up the Lips & Cheeks pencil in Free Flamingo from the new summer collection. I have mentioned before that I love the Bobbi Brown Art Sticks and they were featured in my April Favourites, so I wanted to see how this would compare as it’s a much more budget friendly option! The jumbo pencil is great for quickness and ease of application but it’s a really creamy texture so it does smudge quite easily before it dries down which takes around half an hour. Once it’s on it lasts so well, I only had to top up after I had eaten dinner. I think the Bobbi Brown version is easier to apply and lasts longer, I would definitely recommend a lip liner with the Kiko one.

It also comes with a pencil sharpener like the Bobbi Brown Art Sticks do, which is a great plus.

From L-R; Free Spirit Lips & Cheeks Pencil in Free Flamingo, Artist Stroke Mineral Loose Eyeshadow in Talent Gold and Glowing Pearl Cushion Highlighter in Virtuous Gold.

What products have you tried from Kiko that you like? Any recommendations?

Much love,
