Boho Vibes

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Hi Everyone!

I actually shot this look whilst I was in London and of course it was raining… so I photographed it in London Stratford train station! The lighting was perfect and I guess it’s something different, but not quite the summery backdrop I wanted for this outfit!

I think summertime is perfect for adding a bit of Boho into your wardrobe and I love this jacket because it has that style but it’s not too over the top! For this look I wanted to keep the colours similar to give it a chic edge, with a slight pop of colour with the top.

This jacket is super light weight and perfect for throwing on in the evenings on a summers night when it starts to get a bit cooler, the white and blue together are so flattering and would go with pretty much everything.

Obviously I had to add in a choker as I love them at the moment and this one is so cute with the tiny flower detail adding to the boho vibe.

London Stratford Haul and Hotel Review

Hi Everyone!

So last weekend I had a little trip away to London to visit friends and so we stayed in the Premier Inn at Westfield Shopping Centre. I bought some amazing clothes whilst I was there. I’ve also completed a review of the hotel as it wasn’t the best stay I’ve ever had!

Hotel Review

I’ve never stayed in the Premier Inn here before and I had heard that they had a room with a ceiling hoist. I called them about a week before to ask if they had and if they could reserve it for me; they told me that I could request it but that it wouldn’t be guaranteed and I should bring my manual hoist anyway. This seemed so silly to have to bring my manual hoist ‘just in case’, why couldn’t they just book the room out for me?!

Anyway, we arrived on the Saturday to find that we had been allocated the disabled room with the hoist; when we got to the room we discovered that the ceiling hoist wasn’t actually attached, the tracking was in the completely wrong place for positioning on the bed and it never went over the toilet.

The hoist literally went over the end of the bed, which is in the complete wrong place! How would I sleep at night on the bottom of the bed…?

As you can see here, the toilet wasn’t anywhere near the hoist and to use the toilet from the hoist, I would’ve had to had used the chair on wheels which was actually dirty from previous users.. Really not something I wanted to use!! Luckily I still brought my manual hoist as they advised and thank goodness I did as it made my stay so much easier.

When you’re in a wheelchair going away is hard enough and you hear there is a ceiling hoist in a hotel you expect it to be suitable, to make a disabled persons life easier! Overall the hotel room was poorly laid out and in some aspects very un-hygienic which is so surprising as I’ve had many amazing stays in Premier Inn’s around the UK. When they plan out disabled rooms, people with severe disabilities need to get involved and help in the planning process because no matter how sympathetic someone might be, they will never know the in’s and out’s of what is really needed for a disabled person.

Have you ever stayed in this hotel before? Did you have any difficulties if you are in a wheelchair?

Hi Everyone,

I always love fashion but with all the different logos and applique’s, at the moment fashion is so much fun!

I haven’t wore these jeggings in such a long time and I just love the colour of them, they break up an all white outfit perfectly, with bright colour thrown in for good measure!

British Summer Neutrals

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Hi Everyone,

Because we live in the UK and sometimes our summers aren’t always what we hoped for (fingers crossed this sunshine now stay’s for a bit longer!!), I thought I’d create an outfit that is lovely and light to wear but keeps you warm on the cooler days.

This is the prettiest jumper and so perfect for this outfit because its really lightweight, the fact the fabric almost has holes in it is great for covering up but not so much that it feels like it’s a winter jumper. The peplum detailing and ruffles add a really girly touch to it too.

I wanted to team it with some neutral trousers and the jeggings from Select are my holy grail jeggings! I’ve mentioned them so many times on my blog already, but they are so comfortable and flattering and I adore this colour for summertime.

Espadrilles are what summer is all about; I actually picked these up from Primark last year but I will link an alternative for you below. They add a nautical twist to the look which is finished off with these incredible sunglasses! They’re so fun and unique and I love finding pieces like this to finish off an outfit.

May Favourites

Hi Everyone,

I can’t believe it’s time for my May favourites, the last month has absolutely flown by!! I hope you enjoy reading about the things that I have been loving lately.

Make Up Favourites

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Loreal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation and Bronzer

Firstly, I have been enjoying using this new cushion foundation and bronzer by Loreal. This was only released a couple of weeks ago and it’s a really unique product. The foundation formula is interesting, I’d say it’s a light to medium coverage but it’s easily build-able to the exact coverage you want. I have been using the sponge that comes with them and I wouldn’t say it’s incredible but it does the job, I think a beauty blender might work better but I haven’t tried this yet.

In regards to the bronzer; this is the first liquid bronzer I’ve ever used but it’s so easy to apply and the colour is a great all-round shade. Like the foundation, it’s easy to build up the product to get the desired contour you want.

Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lipstick – Naked Talent

I’ve never really used many Soap and Glory products before but when this was released last month I had to try it! This is from the nudes collection and there are some really beautiful shades. This is a deep nude shade with a pinky undertone which makes it really flattering.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

The Body Shop Vitamin E Cream Cleanser

I’ve been using this cleanser both when taking off my makeup and on a day when I want to give my skin a bit of a refresh! You can apply the product when you still have make up on, rubbing into the skin and them removing it with cotton pads but the only problem with this is that you can’t put it anywhere near your eyes, so there always has to be another step to remove your make up even when you’ve completed this cleanse.

I much prefer to use the product when I have no make up on and it really helps to give my skin a boost and to help it feel cleaner and softer.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

So…? Lovely Dry Shampoo – Floral and Flirty

Does anyone else think that dry shampoo was probably the best invention ever?! I couldn’t live without it! I try to only wash my hair twice a week to keep it healthy and so dry shampoo is perfect for the days when my roots are a tiny bit greasy. This has been one of my favourites for a long time, I love the formula and although it comes out as a white/grey powder it doesn’t put me off. When I use it, I spray my hair before bed and by the time I wake up it has disappeared and my hair looks as good as new!

Random Favourites

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

My first random favourite is this necklace from Forever 21; I have been wearing it so much this month! It basically has every colour under the sun which means it goes with most outfits and the tassel’s give it a fun twist. I can’t wait to wear this on holiday in the sunshine!

Paperchase Stuff to Pack Checklist

If you’re anything like me and love travelling and going away, then this is the perfect thing for you! A ready made checklist of all the things you might need to pack! It’s got 52 sheets, so enough for traveling every week of the year!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

And finally, my obsession this month has been Pick N Mix!! Ok, so I only got married last weekend and I was super healthy up until then but having a sweetie stand there has definitely made me re-kindle my love which is dangerous!

What were you loving in the month of May?

Much Love,
